- The views out of the windows of my van are totally amazing and would cost millions to have these type views from a normal (sticks & bricks) home.
- I have discovered that the experience of traveling this great nation as a van lifer and the adventures I now enjoy, make me much happier than just acquiring more stuff.
- Traveling and camping in a van saves me money. I have no mortgage, no property taxes, no rent. My van is paid for. Solar panels eliminates electric bills. I never pay camping fees because I camp for free on BLM** land.
- The Van / RV lifestyle promotes better health by taking me to the great outdoors where I get plenty of exercise by walking and hiking while discovering new places.
- It takes about five minutes to clean my entire house, maybe eight when I vacuum.
- I eat healthier because when boondocking, there are few places to eat out, therefore I stock my own food.
- I can move when I please. When I want to experience a new or different place or view, I simply press the gas pedal. If there is danger in the area or fires or smoke, I drive away. If it gets too hot or too cold, I drive to a more suitable climate. I never get homesick because home is where I park. I still have my home in Georgia, so if I want to visit my family, I can go there anytime I please.
- Gazing at a beautiful sunset and smelling a campfire at the same time happens quite often.
- Van / RV travel affords me so many of the little things that makes one happy. It affords me the opportunity to stop anytime and fix lunch in my own kitchen or even take a quick nap. It affords me the opportunity to see more friends and family.
- And finally, I can enjoy the peace and quiet of the desert, the mountains, the beach or anywhere I choose and all the while photographing or videoing wildlife, beautiful places, historic places, nature or just go fishing or hiking at my leisure!
